The client has a villa that they rent out in Portugal called
Villa Sorriso. The logo was inspired by the sun and pottery that can be found in the villa. On the Villa's balcony guests can see beautiful sunsets and around the villa are sun shapes pottery.

The S was designed to reflect a sun ray shape which then was used to alter the font Gotham to reflect this shape and to create patterns that can be used on branding materials.
